It will be interesting to host this new team at TP. They haven't had the greatest of starts to the season and have shipped a load of goals, but most of those were in two games against Slough and Maidstone. They have played mostly top half teams so a tough start in the division.
Our home form is very good without being spectacular so I would expect us to put up a good showing. Sol looks dangerous through the middle so we need to get him on the ball frequently and we might start to build up a head of steam.

What have I just watched? Crap performance from all of them. No plan B. No urgency. Pathetic.

No. Attacking. Threat. Whatsoever. Early sorties, plenty of possession, encouraging, but no real chances created. Don't remember their keeper having to do much apart from 2nd half shot going over anyway. Their centre back no 14 won all the headers, or his mates did. We did not win a single header in the box. So, crying out for Fisher...who appears in injury time. We have loads of possession, do little, they get confident, score and win. Rinse and repeat.
We need to score goals or get players to score goals or it us going to be a difficult season.

Re: Enfield thread
That was my first match since the debacle at Hemel three weeks ago and despite the return of some players I saw little if any improvement. Six goals from nine games suggests a long, hard winter. What’s the point of two wingers if there is no one in the middle with the physique to meet their crosses (not that many were accurate). And is Fisher really the answer?

Re: Enfield thread
Enfield came very low on confidence and gave us as much room as we needed. Even so we failed to make any meaningful shots on goal. They would have been happy going in at half time and a pep talk gave them the confidence they could get something more from the game and frankly we let them. If was very good of the lads to sit back after their goal to give them the points to kick start their season.

The football was poor but at least we could all see.it. I assume the decision to have floodlights on was a decision by the referee. Let's hope he doesn't take up umpiring at cricket!

I guess the decision was made to switch them on just prior to kick off when there was a brief shower and it became quite gloomy. But bizarre to keep them on once the sun returned. However I believe that it's more costly to flick floodlights on and off (and possibly on again if the clouds returned) than just leave them on. A pity Phil Weaver no longer posts on here - he'd know.

It seems churlish to complain after a win but we have not been firing on all cylinders this season. Wins have been hard to come by.

In addition to yesterday's debacle. Who picked that new mascot? About as Roman as the Royal Crescent.

Was Wilsons goal offside. looked onside to me. was a delicious cross by frear i was right in line and he sure does whip in a good cross. floodgates would have opened if that went in but it didnt and that was as good as it got. plenty of shots first half, 2nd half was appauling. we had the slope as well. never a lack of urgency or fight from our lads just no plan. we could do with a big forward to help wilson. i dont really know much about fisher but time will tell if he's the answer. fair play to enfield. been on a ghastly run of results and they dig for victory. parked the bus but fair play it worked and they got the 3 points. onto the ray mac where we will easily beat salisbury.

I’m told he’s been introduced by the Tiffin cafe sponsors. Agree a really odd sight. But apparently Bladud is not at the butchers and will be seen again (hopefully not in the cheap looking outfit he had on yesterday)

Bladud is THE mascot.
The City has no connection with "crusaders" or "lions". Whoever dreamt up this idea needs a brain transplant.
There is a picture of a "Roman soldier" on the Bath City Supporters Facebook page, needs to lose the backpack, that could be introduced as a second mascot...and a picture of the lion.
