Cheshunt thread
So to face another team fighting to stay up. Sure to be more of a test than Concord as Cheshunt are in the last chance saloon. Worth keeping an eye on the benches as 2 of the leagues most er passionate managers will be close together.

Re: Cheshunt thread
Well it was more of a test with the hard ground and Cheshunt style ensuring that the ball spent a lot of time in the air. But City got the ball down and had decent amount of possession early on without anyone troubling the keeper. Both defences not really troubled until Cheshunt got round the back and struck the City post, and then Wilson latched onto a ball perhaps should have shot instead of trying to round the keeper and the chance was gone. Then Cheshunt went ahead , getting round the back again, and a shot into the corner of the net.
City had the perfect response early in the 2nd half when the tireless Wilson chased a lost cause to the by line, nicked it off the defender, advanced into the 6 yard box and hammered it past the keeper for 1-1. After that City enjoyed more possession, with balls beginning to come into the box more often but no one on the end. Cheshunt had to go for a win which made the game a better spectacle to watch. City's defence became more stretched and Harris pulled off a great save to keep the score level and Cheshunt wasted another chance in front of goal screwing wide. Eventually Cheshunt were played in to the side and shot past Harris into the corner for the winner. City created little in response as Cheshunt managed the game out for a win and survived another day.
City had plenty of possession at times, but didnt really create a lot and there seems a lack of intent or confidence to shoot. Can't remember their keeper flying around too much apart from a couple of dangerous crosses. A decent setup at Cheshunt now, noisy support, marquee attached to the bar allows plenty of space for a drink should we be back next season.
Attendance 537

The first two sentences of your final paragraph sum up much of the past six seasons for me.
So we have lost to three of the four clubs likely to be relegated. Here’s hoping Hungerford don’t get the double over us.

I think Scott Wilson deserves a mention. At times this season he looked disinterested but for the latter part he has led the line well scoring regularly. Overall he has been a good acquisition. Be interesting to see whether he stays.

It was stated on BCIR yesterday that he is on a 2 years contract.
