Exciting stuff. By the sound of the commentary it was all city second half and once we broke through were always likely to get another albeit we left it very late. No doubt the travelling army will be in jubilant mood.

We were and still are in very jubilant mood.
On the train back with a few beers to sup.
A very enjoyable day out.
We didn't deserve to be losing with 2 minutes to go. Had a goal wrongly disallowed and hit the post in the first half.
But it just felt we were never going to score until the Cat hit a screamer to get us level.
After that the winner was always likely.
Their keeper was a bit of a knob at the end, having wasted time all through the second half, he got everything he deserved.
Happy daze.

It just shows how vital it is to play to the final whistle. I seem to remember someone once said this is a hallmark of great sides.

Smith’s goal is the best I’ve commentated on since Rickie Lambert spanked one in from the halfway line against a load of Rovers fans. The technique was stunning.

Having seen us dominate the game I uttered ( a few minutes from the end) the well worn words that we could play until Xmas until we scored. Very pleased to be proved wrong ( and perhaps riight).

Got the impression that players & management had the same emotions as the supporters at the final whistle. A long journey but well worth it at the end.
