Some Good News
From the official website ............
At Saturday's Football Conference AGM and Awards ceremony - held at Celtic Manor in Newport - Bath City won the award and £10,000 prize for Conference South Community Club of the year. The Club would like to thank the Bath City FC Community Sports Foundation for all their sterling work in the community which has received special recognition from the Conference.
Presumably the money has to be spent on community projects?

Yes but in the past various City players have helped carry out those projects.......it has supplemented the playing budget.......

Re: Some Good News
Great. I don't think we had this last season after Charlie went.
There was a scheme running last season to raise money for the playing budget. I only saw it in the matchday programme and it had got up to about £6,000 odd. Does anyone know if it's still running? I'd like to put my tuppenceworth in. Can't find any mention on this or official website.

That's correct. There was no way that the Foundation could work closely with the club while a certain obstacle was present. Had Charlie not still been available to us, I very much doubt if we would have had a presence in local schools last season. His work with primary and secondary school children played a huge part in the club securing this award.

you can listen to Pete Sellwood's interview on the Twentyman Show following the link below. It's 2 hrs 17 mins in, but there's only 24 hours left to hear it!

Very good interview from Pete.
At 10mins long, he certainly got his money's worth out of Geoff Twentyman
