Leafelt drop for the Community day
Hi all,
There will be leaflets available on Saturday from the Supporters HQ for people to come and pick up; with details of the community day. What I'd like to do though is know who can do which roads in Bath so that they can be ready with your name on. So if you live in Bath and can drop one through every door in your street then post on here or via a PM of which road it is and how many you will need.
Then on Tuesday 18th I will be going round the local area delivering leaflets myself but I will need your help to cover more ground. So if you can spare a few hours on Tuesday 18th at 7pm onwards then that'll be great! Again message me on here or in person on Saturday at the Supporters HQ before ko, ht or full time.
Many thanks in advance, only with your help we can make this a success! If there isn't much response on here by Sunday night I will be going round on Monday 17th too as I feel this is a really important thing to get done. The club want to try and cover every house in a 20 minute walking distance of Mayday Trust Park to make sure lots of people know about this game. Also if you have any more time to spare on Tuesday 18th then there will be posters to put up in the City centre too!

Re: Leafelt drop for the Community day
Is there something on the leaflets where households can enter their email addresses and says something like bring or return this leaflet to the club for a FREE lucky draw prize, say 10 X £10 or some discount deal for future games; we will then hopefully get at least 500 as I will deliver those around Weston village.
Roads: Southlands, Chandlers Close, Falklands Close, must be => 500? If I have any remaining can do other roads in that area.
If anyone has access to the Electoral Register the exact number of households in each road can easily be found.

Given that people can get in to the game for nothing that should be incentive enough.

Those roads will be great, i'll make sure you have a hand delivering them though that's a lot of roads. I've made a note of those roads and we'll look to do them with you on Monday (17th) night.
There will be plenty of leaflets printed so not a problem. There will be something like that at the turnstiles but not on the leaflets as most will be thrown away unfortunately.

Re: Leafelt drop for the Community day
Thanks for the 3 firm offer of help I've had so far, but we need a lot more to cover a decent area of Bath. So this goes out to anyone who has had a moan at the club for not doing stuff like this before. Please if you can spare only an hour next Monday or Tuesday night your help will be invaluable to help spread the word about the Community day!
Many thanks again to those 3 who have already said they will help!

All power to you Mark for leading this. I am sorry I can't be there to help.
I'll be coming down for the day.
I have been circulating to family and friends to drum up support.

Re: Leafelt drop for the Community day
best roads are terraced houses, don't take long, Caledonian road, ayr street etc, could be bombed out quick.

As I'm at Albert Terrace I'll cover the bits behind that, so Charmbury up to Victoria pub if you want Mark?
**Meaning Milmead Road, Lynmore Avenue etc.

Re: Leafelt drop for the Community day
Thanks for the responses today, have two more on board too. I'll take a good look at who can do what tomorrow when I'm down the club. I'll get back to everyone with times etc. Posters will be going up in Oldfield Park and Chelsea Road tomorrow as well! Should be everywhere covered then!

Re: Leafelt drop for the Community day
I've just been told that Chelmsford have been informed, might be up to us to pop it on a fans forum. That will definitely encourage some more away fans to travel! I'm also going to post on the Bristol Rovers forum tonight too so if you guys could add to it next week to keep it in their minds that'll be great! It was on their official website yesterday but will soon disappear from it due to a lot of news in the last 24 hours, keep the faith and offer your help Monday or Tuesday night!

Re: Leafelt drop for the Community day
Posters - Has anyone been into the shops in Weston High Street? If not bring a dozen or so for me. I can also try other places like the local pubs.
There is a "community" magazine delivered to my door, so I assume elsewhere also, called "What's On" - http://www.allsaintsonline.org.uk/community/whats-on/ - I can't see us mentioned?
It does say it charges for ads, only £10, BUT there are exemptions so...

Possibly the best reason for their choice of mascot if it is true...

Re: Leafelt drop for the Community day
Right just been looking on google maps, looks like we need more than 2000 which is fine. So to confirm there will be a BA1 leaflet drop on Monday night starting from the Fleece Pub at 7pm, we'll head over the bridge and do the immediate streets there. Then the bigger push will be on the Tuesday night 7pm start from Twerton Park doing the BA2 side.
2 Weird Town, not sure who you are so if you could PM me then I can sort you 150 leaflets for Saturday to cover the small streets and the stretch of lower Bristol road from the fleece to the Oak.
Blain if you want to do some on your own then fine, but otherwise we'll cover the area you mentioned on the Tuesday night in a group if that's ok?
Rob, if you want to put some up in 'deeper' Weston then that's fine, i'll set aside 150 for the two roads you mentioned; chandlers and Faulklands. Otherwise we'll see you on Monday night to do the immediate BA1 area near the ground. I'll also pop in another 20 leaflets for the high street in Weston as we've run out of posters until Tuesday now!
Steve Skinner I think if you can help with the Monday night one if possible then any spares can go to 'deeper upper weston'. Or if you can only make Tuesday then come then. Any help is great!
Roger - I can spare the 200 you need for Weston as you can't make the evening ones, so i'll have them waiting for you at the game tomorrow. Thanks for doing your local area!
Hilly - I gave out all the posters today in town I'm afraid. I'll give you a bunch of say 30 leaflets though, use them as mini posters or put them on tables if the landlords let you.
Cheers and anymore help is always welcome and really needed!
Mark

Sutton's attendance yesterday was about 4 times more than their average against a club, Basingstoke, who don't take a lot of away fans but maybe they did yesterday being "close by" (45- 50 miles apart), so a local derby? Weather was good so hope we get the same, like today would be perfect. IF we get that same multiple our attendance could be 2500+, which I would have thought is success?
I would like to see admission costs reduced to...
Adult Standing: £9.00 Adult Seating: £10.00
Senior Standing: £4.00 Senior Seating: £5.00
Student/Under-18 Standing: £3.00 Student/Under-18 Seating: £4.00
...following the Chelmsford game to encourage everyone back (assuming the "success").
Hope the Chronicle, circulation 15000, AND online probably reaches even more, have plans for a FRONT page special wrap around?
Will see many of you at the Fleece tomorrow 1900 hours.

Re: Leafelt drop for the Community day
Has anyone been doing some leaflets in Upper Weston? I found one at my mums flat today and she lives top end of Lansdown Lane. I was going to do some around here so if someone has already been doing some it would be helpful to know what roads have been done. Thanks
