Community Day 2016
My memory says this was mentioned somewhere but I can't find a specific Topic so...
http://www.bathcityfc.com/news14.htm#2501
To receive the Bath City Weekly email - http://bathcityfc.us12.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=993f108eef922cc38fb7c961a&id=b947379143 - which is full of interesting matters.
I have two questions for the Community Day pre match entertainment:
1. What time will the band start and end?
2. Will both Charlies and Randalls be open to accommodate the hoards attending?

Re: Community Day 2016
Well done for sharing this, Beau. It is good that people are getting on board with promoting this. I am afraid that I don't know the info that you need but would imagine that it will be forthcoming nearer the date.
Giving out 2500 tickets is a great promotional idea from the club.

Re: Community Day 2016
I can't find the game advertised here - https://www.dorothyhouse.org.uk/events - is the promotion of this day about to be added?
Similarly, I would hope we are in contact with - "Houlding Anita (ROYAL UNITED HOSPITAL BATH NHS TRUST - RD1)" <anita.houlding@nhs.net> - who has previously put the Community Day in their staff newsletter. The RUH - http://www.ruh.nhs.uk/For_Clinicians/departments_ruh/Palliative_Care/dorothy_house.asp?menu_id=2 - are closely linked.

Re: Community Day 2016
I put it on the St.Albans forum a couple of weeks ago as it might help travel plans for some, and will bump it up nearer the time. Think they have bigger challenges at the moment ! Hope its not a 6 pointer.

And St . Albans will turn up with a new manager as Ian Allinson takes over, was at Boreham Wood for a long time, took them up last season.

Poster displayed in the window of Flan O'Briens pub on the corner of Westgate St. A good prominent location. Well done that man (or woman)!

Re: Community Day 2016
Just wondered if anyone had made a point of sharing this on forums of other local club fan forums. Such as Bristol City as they play away at MKD this Sat.

For awareness...
We now have a list of approx >50 city centre sites that take Bath City posters / flyers - as well as >20 other sites further afield - thanks to Oliver and some of the 1000BC team.
This is a 'living, dynamic list' which is constantly updated as premises open and close and management change.
You can help:
1) Post on here if you are aware of sites / shops / cafes / work places - or you have personal connections / influence that would enable a new site for a poster or flyer.
2) PM me on here if you would be able to stick posters up. We have divided sites into groups of logical routes of 10/15 sites.

Re: Community Day 2016
To respond to the question about Bristol City, apparently the community day has been advertised on their website.
Also, the band Eliza and the Bear will be at the ground tomorrow at 2pm before performing at Moles in the evening. They like to visit every football ground where they are playing.
They were due to visit Twerton Park last month but had to postpone it due to the lead singer not being well.
Bob Chester will also be live on Radio Somerset tomorrow morning at about 8.50am talking about the Community Day.

Are they performing or just in attendance. They sound like a good up and coming indie rock band.

They're due to perform in the car park but will be moved to the bar I believe if the weather is poor. Which is, infuriatingly, predicted.

Also' Horning Glory advertised as playing. I heard a great track of theirs on the radio some time ago but blowed if I can find it online now.

Re: Community Day 2016
Yes, it was!
Just to confirm, Eliza and the Bear are just visiting and it is Horning Glory who will be performing - in the car park if dry and in Randall's if wet - from about 2pm to just before kick-off.
(And sadly, the Bear accompanying Eliza is not the one formerly of this forum...)

Why there isn't more publicity of the bassist of the Lone Sharks attending, I don't know.

Re: Community Day 2016
I don't know, every home game I go, I have played benefit gigs for the club, worn Bath City stuff on stage and sponsored a board on the Pubbuteo pitch. Where's the publicity for my band, eh? Eh?
Are there badgers that need saving at Twerton?

Hold on, Brian May is actually going to be there? I assumed it was a joke that I hadn't got.
He's not here for St Albans City, he doesn't live anywhere near there.
