Escape To Victory for the bid!
Came in to work this morning to find a poster for a screening of Escape To Victory on the kitchen wall, together with the following info…
"We’ll kick off this special screening with a short film about the Big Bath City Bid, introduced by Ken Loach. Table football! Prizes! Genuine Bath City players! In association with Waterstones. The Big Bath City Bid is a campaign to give Bath the football club it deserves, owned and run by the whole community on a ‘one member, one vote’ basis along the lines of Barcelona or AFC Wimbledon. The Bid is raising £750,000 to take the club into community ownership and create a solid foundation for future success on and off the pitch."
Excellent! How did that sneak by without my knowing - and more to the point, who out the poster up?! Looks like a top event!

One of the people who volunteered to help the Bid team is associated with Komedia and is kindly putting on this event for us. I hadn't realised that posters had gone out.

Admission prices here...
https://www.picturehouses.com/cinema/The_Little/film/escape-to-victory-intro-with-ken-loach/tickets/1833
Please note, we will advertise this in the usual way once Thursday's event at the Hilton is done.
I'm hoping to collect some posters from Komedia, so would be grateful if anyone can get them displayed in pubs, cafes, places of work etc

I'm a bit out of date, and assume that the Industrial dispute at Picturehouses is over?

Re: Escape To Victory for the bid!
I have not been to 'Komedia' before. Is there a number (other than the 0871 one) for the Little Theatre? I want to check with them about something.

Re: Escape To Victory for the bid!
A really enjoyable event, and a few bob into the funds!
I particularly enjoyed Russell Osmans' anecdotes about ,'down time' with Pele, Bobby Moore, etc!
For those who missed it - see me on Tuesday night!
