Re: City v Boreham Wood
Best I've seen this season, (missed the Rovers game), wasn't hopeful when I saw the line-up, but there were decent performances in every department, and the midfield unit was superb. Would have liked to see the starting eleven play the whole ninety minutes, don't think the changes added anything, and could have blown the whole thing off course. Minor quibble.

What happens now though? Do we keep the same starting line-up next game. Common wisdom amongst some - not least me - is that you keep a winning team. However, could we leave out Pratt, Hemmings and Watkins were they to be fit on Thursday?

The pampered premier league ponies don't like the proliferation of games at this time so wd think part time players need to be dealt with carefully. I expect some rotation over next 2 games on Thursday and Sunday.

Ha ha, d'oh! My only excuse is the amount of talk beforehand that he wouldn't be.

Our 'incline' becomes a 'hill' as Wood bemoan defeat after another long journey. Conf Prem wont suit them at all then !

Apparently he's carrying a niggle/injury. There was an incident in about the 89th minute which sums him up (and perhaps McCootie).
McCootie lost out in a tussle for the ball which ran towards a 'Wood player. As McCootie stood and watched, Pratt ran past him and got a challenge in before the 'Wood player could fully control the ball.
Despite not being 100% Pratt made a real nuisance of himself, often tying down two defenders. He played his part in getting the points yesterday.

What with TP being a 'behemoth' too, it must be a really intimidating place to play at.

This disparity is getting so obvious that you would think that someone would have a word with McCootie. I mean, he may be unfit or carrying a knock himself but when Pratt is doing that in the 89th minute with an injury himself, you have got to question him.

Wow, if you believe what they say about the slope it's amazing that's Wealdstone's goal made it up the Ben Nevis-like incline.
It was also interesting they claim their no.10 was struggling with injury when it looked more like he was struggling with too much turkey and mince pies over Christmas.
Though according to his profile on their website he weighs 12st 71lbs which is just over 17st so maybe he's lost a little bit of weight.

Yes, you would think we play on Innox Park the way that reporter describes the pitch! He would have loved the old Huish or Wycombe's Loakes Park!
