poole trip

If you are thinking about using the coach on Tuesday, please ring Bas today as he needs to confirm with Berkeleys if we need a coach by Monday.

As there is insufficient support for the 19 seater, there will be no coach to Poole organised by the SC. However an independent mini bus will run, with the same fares and times as advertised yesterday. There are still some spaces, so ring Bas if you are interested.

Shortwood replay - a decision will be made tomorrow (Sunday) at 5pm on whether a coach will run. If you want one of the spaces still available, please ring Bas before then!

Shortwood update - the coach will definitely run and is full up. Anyone ringing Bas can be put on a reserve list. The bloke has spent hours since the end of yesterday's game ringing round, trying to get enough support. I trust the coach regulars appreciate the efforts he is making on their behalf...

Ebbsfleet - Bas has asked me to state that there are enough bookings for a big coach to run next Saturday. Please ring him if you would like a seat.

chelmsford trip...

Please note that a decision about this trip will be made at the end of Saturday's game with Maidenhead. If you are interested in a seat on the coach, which is likely to be the 16 seater, please contact Bas before then.

update on Gloucester trip...

While we have enough bookings for a 16 seater coach, a few more would enable the larger bus to run. But we need to let Berkeleys know by Wednesday morning, so if you are interested please contact Basil (either by phone or at the SC HQ before/after the Hemel match).

The large coach is running on Sunday, so give Bas a ring if you would like a seat!

Rovers - a decision about running a coach to the trophy match will be made once the date is announced - in the meantime, please don't contact Bas for details as he hasn't got any.

I thought they were going via Keynsham?

Doesn't affect me anyway as I'm not (and likely never will again) on the 16-seater.

Although nothing was announced, alternative routes were examined including going up Weston Lane for the top way to the motorway. Berkeleys were not keen on that idea, while going via Keynsham or Standerwick would probably have saved no time.

Looking back, we have rarely played in the east just before Xmas over the past 10 years and we didn't factor in Xmas shopping when the schedules were planned back in the Summer. Along with holiday traffic at either ends of the season, that's something we need to do in future.
