I must have clawed back a few points on the competition at least. Or does it only count if we win?
Lower mid-table in league below so if we progress it's a winnable one, albeit in far from glamorous surroundings.

Could have been a lot worse. At this stage its all about getting through to the 1st round proper and a potentially lucrative tie. East Thurrock are a level below us and mid table so nothing really to fear. The replay against Shortwood seems a more difficult proposition.

you are aware this is not the same club we visited a couple of times in the league? this place is some miles away in corringham.
of course, it would be a grudge match for them, as we thrashed them 5-1 in the trophy 6 years ago.
3 draws against lower level opponents - you can't ask for more (except a win tomorrow...)

Yes I'm aware, but from what I understand it's not exactly a huge step up in surroundings from Thurrock. Though I'll have to judge for myself if given the opportunity.
I think we would have drawn them in the trophy last season had we not lost to Dover.

The ariel photo on Google shows it's on the edge of the town and next to open fields. I see it's 10 miles by road to Concord, yet about 4 as the crow flies. I'm getting excited about this potential trip!

I would've taken that, we've got a great opportunity to be in the 1st Round. Goes without saying that tomorrow is massive..could be a waterlogging at this rate though

We lost there in the Trophy a few years back, what a desolate place. All you can see is marshes and a chemical works. It hammered down too and I had a dead battery on the way back too.

I have just seen it - they could have built the new Wembley there!

Won one at Brislington when it was supposedly a bit nippy or something.
Think we've lost five or six others, the latest at Radstock in the SPC four years ago. Although I'd already left by that point. We've lost two against Tiverton, one included Sam Allison dragging it about a mile wide and the other was before you received a blank piece of paper award.

I wonder if we have been practising, not that you can recreate the white hot atmosphere and tension which is likely tonight.

Stearn, McCootie and Pratt have all taken and scored penalties this season. Kington used to take them at Weston.
Then again it won't come to it - just discovered it's Lee Howells' birthday, and Nick McCootie's. Fate. Probably work out it's three birthdays for Shortwood's players now.
