I believe the former chairperson is going to jump out of a big cake and sing happy birthday.

As I mention on the Insider thread, there is a sponsored walk on the 20th but, with just over two weeks to go, there has been precious little publicity apart from in the Insider itself

I haven't had anything through the Facebook page, Pete. I am not on Twitter though so wouldn't have seen that.

One problem is that there isn't an obvious organiser or point of contact for these things. Success comes where individuals drive it.

I think in six weeks or so it is exactly 125 years since our first ever game, an FA Cup tie with Kidderminster.
Maybe we should play them again in a money-spinning friendly. Or we could be lucky and draw them in the FA Cup again. Preferably away, the food is to die for.

Re: 125th Anniversary - What's happening?
It is actually in the supporter's corner part of the Chronicle today. Is it a fundraiser for the supporters' club or the club itself?
As far as point of contact is concerned, as far as I can tell it is Andy Weeks, as he is Director of Operations and Bob Chester for Commercial activities although I have been in contact with them both. Bob's actually put his numbers on the website which really helps. 01225 313247 or 07786092836.
As far as individuals driving success is concerned, there is a balance to be had. I have been doing stuff to raise the profile of the club - the t-shirts and a couple of other things coming up - and I tend to speak to the people involved and then present the idea to the club. However, I know that the club don't want to be left out of the loop. However, I feel it is best to get as much done and then present it to the club as fully formed as possible without committing the club to anything. That way, most of the spade work is done and it is just up to the club whether they want to run with it or not. I prefer to do publicity-raising drives that mean minimum work or funds for the club. As I say, it is a difficult balance to achieve.

With the light shining in my face, all I can see for 125 Anniversary is
The former chairperson jumping out of a cake, t-shirts, videos on Facebook and a fundraising walk.
And thoughts on the win yuffie: very good, about bl**dy time.
