I would had added Lukako to the over rated/never turned up award and I would give an honoury mention to the VAR team for the best team award as 9 out of 10 decisions were made quickly and correctly however I generally agree with your rewards.

The open top bus parade will end up at Twerton Park in time fir the next Saturday home game.

Yes, good point about VAR. Let's hope that similar is introduced in PL for next season along with the rule that only captains can whinge to the ref!

Taken us forward but total number of titles in last 58 years is still 0. Results business at the end of the day.

After 58 years I think it is safe to say England aren't as good as we think we are. Bobby Robson said we were about q uarter final standard generally and we have pretty much proved that ever since. Which is why I regard getting to two finals a massive success. We have won as many trophies as Holland which I think is a fair reflection of our status. We are regularly in with a shout which is more than can be said for a lot of countries.

In Southgates time the only 'major' team that England beat at tournaments was Germany.

best team in tournament won and deservedly so. was hoping we could beat them but they just too dam good so fair play. played quite well really. no team in tournament particulary entertaining but spain were the best. i said from day 1 foden never does it for england and 7 appearances 0 goals and 0 assists proves this. he hit post a couple of times but should have been dropped. i think kane was injured from that denzel dumfries foul but wanted to play. he might have lied to southgate. who wouldn't want to play in the final. if southgate goes i would demand an englishman. only really eddie howe qualifys. kind of glad footballs over now till august 10th. it rarely brings triumph. but when it does its amazing.

Good points, but if Kane was injured in the Dutch game it made no difference to his performance. He was awful both before and after.

While I disagree about Palmer’s goal you’re right about Oblak - consistently the best keeper in Europe for many years.

We've also won as many as Greece. And they did it in another country. Not in a pretty way but effectively. If we had beaten Spain all would have been forgiven!
