Meet the SLO - 31st August

Hi all, just posting here for those not on Facebook.

I'll be in the Royal Oak pub, Lower Bristol Road on Thursday 31st August from 7 - 9pm for any City fans that want to chat to me in my capacity as Supporter Liaison Officer.

I can raise supporter issues with the Board on your behalf, which can include (but is not limited to) ticket prices, access, matchday experience, away travel, information sharing and segregation.

As an exile my few visits to Twerton are always a delight and I will leave to others to pick up issues they might see on a more frequent basis, save one thing. The Romans bar experience in the Bristol end is different to the Stripes bar one at the Bath end. Stripes has a bigger aperture and more servers, Roman bar has seemingly only one. I saw at least 4 people walk away from the slow moving queue last Saturday. Minor issue I guess in the wider scheme of things, but annoying nonetheless, particularly when no view of the pitch. Might now be something for the close season but would like to know if a quick fix is possible.

Just a reminder about this event tonight. I'll be in the Royal Oak on Lower Bristol Road from 7pm - 9pm, pop in for a drink and a chat if there's things you want to raise.

I'll have a think about doing a virtual event for exiles later in the year.

Did anything interesting come out of this event?

Only a few of us but some good points raised about queues for the outside bars, sharing minutes of board meetings, the squad builder and improving the women's toilets at Twerton park. Will do another one soon maybe before or after a home match

The men's toilets at the Bath end also need some work, James. They're not pleasant and the old 'trough on the floor' style seems very outdated these days (and a potential health hazard I would think!). Not very nice for new visitors - could do with proper urinals being fitted.
