Somerset 2023

Watched a comprehensive Surrey win over Somerset in 3 days at Taunton despite classy bowling from Henry and the prodigy that is James Rew. A cameo hit fest from CraigO made Surrey bat again but their depth always meant a bowler or batter stepped up to keep the pressure on.

County cricket always a delightful experience at any venue with the demographics ensuring a consistent look and feel about the audience whether Old Trafford, Lords, Northampton or Taunton on my travels this season, moreso when in the company of fellow City fans to share the angst and joy !

And so it ends for another year. Delighted to have seen Somerset put in decent CC shifts at Old Trafford, Lords, Northampton and Edgbaston, and look forward to seeing them there again next season...ah, perhaps not at all of them !
