What an incredible morning's play that was. The County Championship at its very best - far more exciting than most white ball bores.

With your attack and the way it's handled by the captain you should be challenging at the top but the batting is weaker than some in Division 2. Siddle is an excellent signing but you'd better hope Overton is ignored by England this summer, which looks unlikely based on this game.

Wow just wow what game  ebbed and flowed, Somerset tied Middlesex down who then got a defendable score. Spinners tied us down then overtons successive 6s was the difference. Great game  decent crowd  Somerset win !

Great game today between Somerset 2s and Middlesex 1.5s. Should have been a stroll for us with Holden well set but those late wickets produced a classic one day finish. As was said on commentary, a victory for county cricket. Eat your heart out, ECB...

Yep, we were 20 short yr in good form, seen Eskinazi in powerful form at Radlett twice recently but you had guys to step up when he went cheaply.

Well done Middlesex on promotion, look forward to seeing the game at Lords next season, if the fixtures suit. Unlucky Glos, hit form too late, no tears for the Tykes. Hopefully our new signings will stiffen the batting and give our bowlers something to defend.

Sad to lose Gloucs, a derby (not that Derbys) that is far more interesting than Middx;  but at least two wins next season for Som.

Don’t be so sure! The rakegate match still rankles and those players who still remain from 2017 will be up for it. Our bowling is not as strong as it once was and needs strengthening but the batting woes may just be behind us.
Delighted to see Yorkshire relegated - the ECB should have put them there in the first place and have still to impose any penalty for their racism. And yet it acted immediately to impose a ten points penalty on Durham for a player’s bat being too wide. A body totally unfit for purpose.
