Back to football after suitable respect is shown prior to the game for our late monarch and Dave Singleton. Lets hope City capitalise on Weymouth's poor start with an impressive performance and win ahead of the Cup game.

Just to say that we are not all monarchists. This does not mean that we are unpatriotic, so respect needs to be shown to those campaigning for greater democracy. Quite understandable that she needs showing respect for her time as head of state.

Re: Weymouth thread
Not able to get the reduced price ticket on the website due to technical system problem and no reply from off field management to my email sent Sunday, so will not be attending.

Why not ring the Club and explain the problem?

Re: Weymouth thread
The problem has been explained in detail in my email; it can only be resolved if the club agree to a solution that is not part of the standard system. It affects everyone without a modern mobile phone.

Re: Weymouth thread
Do you have a PC or laptop linked to a printer? Assuming that the system has not changed since last season when I bought a ticket for the Trophy game v Dartford, you will receive an email with the ticket attached. Simply print it out and show it at the turnstyles.
Thank me later!

Re: Weymouth thread
I mentioned the lack of being unable to print out the ticket in the email.
This is not a significant problem as it only loses the club a small amount, I would guess maybe £100 a game? Very few people will be put off from attending.
The way I would look at encouraging attendance is, as there is a lot of spare capacity, to ensure everyone who might attend needs to be helped. Differentiation on price, depending on how tickets are bought, is one that makes those disadvantaged feel undervalued and exploited.

A good preview of the match on Weymouth's website (although no mention of the Goal of the Century)...

And what their fans are saying...

I've seen loads of City v Weymouth games over the years and just like I've never seen them win at ours I've never seen a City victory at theirs. At least that Laws guy is retired now.

A very entertaining game. We were chasing shadows for most of the game but started strongly and finished strongly. Overall we created the better chances.
Good attendance on a rainy Tuesday.
Would have given Wright MOM.

Re: Weymouth thread
1-0 inside 3 minutes, 2-0 after 7 minutes and whilst City had a fair share of the first half Weymouth battled hard and gave City the run around for a lot of the second half, almost scoring an equaliser on several occasions, hitting the bar once.
Cody failed with a penalty late in the second half but City finished strong...a "win ugly".
Great attendance of 1121 on a wet evening, is that a Tuesday record?

Re: Weymouth thread
Well done to both teams for producing such an entertaining game. Weymouth showed early on why they are struggling and couldn’t handle our confident start. But the longer the game went on the stronger they became and I thought we did very well to limit them to the single goal. What a save by Wright from the header!

Anyone from Millwall checking on their two keepers last night would have been impressed…

I hope your feedback is appreciated by Millwall?
Will you get a special supporter's award?

Re: Weymouth thread
I don't think Wright perhaps gets the credit he is due. He made two crucial saves in the Slough game when the scores were still close, and did so again last night - goals at that point in either game would almost certainly have seen a different outcome. I don't think many would have begrudged him MoM last night.

Last season Weymouth played fixtures against Stockport and Notts County. They’re heading for games against Hartley Wintney and Yate next season. Something very wrong there.
