Signings for upcoming season
Good to see that two more have agreed terms. I'm still looking forward to seeing similar good news about Walsh, Stern, Gallener and Allen though.

There will be a number of people who are just as pleased Josh Low has called it a day.
I have lost track of who is currently in and who is out. Who are deffo in?

For Salcombe read Slocombe
Add Chris Allen, Adam Connelly, Andy Gallinagh & Phil Walsh, making fifteen, and then everyone from last season is accounted for?
I guess a few of the "kids" will be added to the squad?

Yes the defence looks a bit thin. The form of Gallinagh and Wlashy at the end of the season contributed greatly to out high finish.

For Connolly read no contract. If we get Walshy and Allen from that list I'd be very happy.

So far so good, but for me, as with last season, we are still lacking a bit of strength/weight/power from the back to the front.

Agree about Adam, been a good servant but the last two seasons far from his best.
Andy I would like to keep.

Re: Signings for upcoming season
We have enough to field a team now then:
Mellor
Bowman Simpson Ball Solcombe
Stearn Adelsbury Artus
Watkins Hemmings Pratt
Not a bad one either.
Add Walsh, Gallinagh and Allen (plus possibly Connolly) and two or three summer triallists and that's not a bad squad.

The noble Lord wrote on his Facebook page "I am really looking forward to watching Bristol Rovers slaughter Bath City next month!" so he no longer supports us.

Optimistic Future?
From the Cardiff game: Mellor, Gallinagh (c) (Keary 82), Slocombe, Ball, Walsh (Ricketts 66), Adelsbury (Bowman 56), Stearn (Evans 77), Allen, Pratt (Simpson 56), Watkins (Hemmings 77), Artus. subs not used: Rollo, Gibbons, Shipp, Southway, Mitchell.
From the seventeen in total, who got on the pitch, is it Keary, Ricketts and Evans who are not on contract.
Is there anyone missing.
I saw the Larkhall game and was impressed by the standard of the "kids", who whilst currently not of high enough standard for regular first team action looked capable of doing a job if required.
I think that is a formidable squad, best since the play-off winners, with quality and importantly variations throughout. At least four six foot plus. I am quietly optimistic for a title challenge.

Walsh in the side -good news. I haven't seen anything about us signing him - has this happened or is he still part of our wish-list?

Re: Signings for upcoming season
No he's signed: (Taken from the City site)
Squad jigsaw nearer to completion as Walsh agrees deal for new season (12/7/14)
Bath City is pleased to announce that Phil Walsh has accepted an offer to sign for the club for the new season. The paperwork has been completed today in advance of the match against Cardiff City. Walsh returned to the club in March - having spent three seasons at Twerton Park between 2005 and 2008 - and was on the losing side just once in eleven appearances that saw City narrowly miss out on a Conference South play-off place.

Re: Signings for upcoming season
Thanks for the info regarding Phil Walsh. Have to say I'm feeling more optimistic about the new season than for quite a while - we seem to have a well-balanced squad with nearly all the key players from last season present, and some promising newcomers to create competition for places.
