Brilliant news. Had a concern someone might pinch Dan Ball.

I cannot recall anyone coming in and pinching any Bath player in the time I have been supporting. When was the last time this happened?

I thought both Sido and Kaid left before getting fixed up with new clubs. Wasn't Sido kicking around in France or somewhere. And of course Kaid left in contorversial circumstances.

You may well be right. I can't remember the circumstances for either of those 2 players (although I can remember Wheeler's departure some 35 years ago!).
what i think should be pleasing is that next year's squad is shaping up to be a good blend of young, exciting players who should be hungry and a group of dependable ones still in their 20s who have much experience of playing at this level.

From memory Kaid was with us as non-contract, but we got a fee out of Wimbledon as the 7 day notice needed would have taken them past the transfer window. Sido was definitely in France trying to get a contract, but that fell through so he ended up at Cheltenham (and again I think we got some sort of fee as he was 22?)

I make it nine now. In addition to the seven you quote, someone posted a while ago that the Chronicle stated that Bowman and Simpson had signed - can't see anything on Official web site News Section though, and that is the only information source that we can trust to be accurate. I expect there will be plenty of contract 'activity' when the players/officials hols are over.

Dan Bowman was already contracted so he does make 8 confirmed signed on players.
