Didn't see enough of Compton to judge. Picked up an injury early on and then fell out of favour with the succession of managers we had last season and moved out on loan for most of the season.

Just walked past a former City player in town, and can't for the life of me remember his name. He was from that era three or four seasons back where we had a whole swathe of very similar midfield players crowding the bench. He's not Joe Allen or Dan Bowman, but I'm pretty sure he's of that era. Dark, short hair with a bit of a flicky fringe and fairly big ears. About 5' 7"ish - ring any bells?

Can't find him in any pics of him from that era either, and it's bothering me that I can't remember his name. Got any suggestions?

Manny Month was mentioned on a recent Radio 5 article on FGR. Their manager was being interviewed watching a training session and suddenly bawled out something along the lines of 'C'mon Manny, work harder!'

Actually it can't have been him because he's in Canada as we speak. Similar looking bloke though. I can picture him in kit, but I can't for the life of me remember.

...and it wasn't three or four seasons back either. I believe he scored that spectacular goal against Darlington in 2010.
I think he was at the Uni wasn't he and subsequently went along to a pre-season friendly as a triallist but didn't even get on the pitch.
