Interesting use of one of my photos without a credit.
And I have a vague recollection of hearing the other side of that story.

Re: Ex Romans' Thread
Good appointment. Fey and Rudge really have a shocking record as a managerial duo, have they been anywhere else but Chippenham and Paulton? Their win/loss record in those two spells is pretty horrifying.Micawber wrote:Tony Ricketts appointed manager at Paulton.
Adrian Foster has just left as Gillingham manager

Despite supposedly having trials lined up with clubs at a higher level, I see that Danny Barrow has signed for Truro.

He probably wants to be in the starting 11. Hopefully not a Christmas shocker for us now!

For those interested in hearing the club's side of the Kurtis Guthrie departure it is here:

Seems like he didn't fancy living in Twerton. I know a few people like that.

I guess Welling found him a nice little bachelor pad in the Docklands or maybe Knightsbridge.

Thanks for providing the link. I see that the offending comments from the original article have now been removed. And presumably his comments on veggie food will go the same way when Dale Vince reads them!

Last night BBC 5 Live had a show called 'Straight Outta Conference' (yes really) about players like Jamie Vardy who have gone from non league to be successful league careers. In conjunction with this David Pleat picked his 'all time non-league XI' which alongside the likes of Stuart Pearce, Andy Townsend and Ian Wright included Tony Book.

Pretty sure we had a spare room going at 148 when he joined. He could have helped with the programme for a bit.

Watched a bit of Forest Green v Torquay this afternoon. Great cross from Kevin Nicholson to set up Torquay's goal, but turned off before Kurtis Guthrie came on as sub for Forest Green.

Good to see Tom Nichols get a goal tonight. He always looked like a quality player and was just getting into his stride with us when he was recalled. Scored against WSM if I remember right.

These loan signings have always worked out well for us........well, maybe not, eh Comrade!
Let's hope our two latest lads do well........Bobby Zamora was half decent I recall. Whatever happened to him? Probably went downhill on leaving us.
