Welton are a very decent footballing side and caused us real problems especially first half. Goalie and centre backs very solid and pace all over the pitch. They gave our youngsters a stern test.
If it had ended 2-2 it would have been a fair reflection but they missed a chance to level and we went up the other end and scored to put it to bed.
I think our senior lads found the pitch difficult, and playing with unfamiliar colleagues, as they weren't able to shine but they did grow into the game.
There was a triallist who was either brilliant and misunderstood or useless, I am undecided.

I suspect that the trialist might be the latest addition to the Bath City 1 appearance club!
Enjoyable evening including a catch up with a few friends. Welton have good facilities for their league and are a friendly local club.

Interesting to see that two Academy lads scored. Barter's goal was posted today and is a great finish and Wiles-Richards is a promising lad as well (as well as being our current sub goalie's brother).

Looks like he has played for Chippnum and Supermarine and doesn't have the most exciting record although he may be only 22ish. Appears to have changed shape entirely since his early start with Eastleigh. Now he would be described as V shaped.
