Former player Ray Mogg
It is well known that Dave Mogg is our record appearance holder. I must admit that I was unaware that his father, Ray, also played for the club between 1958 and 1961, appearing alongside the likes of Charlie Fleming, Ian MacFarlane and Tony Book. He later took Dave to matches as a child and regularly watched him during those 515 appearances.
I've just been informed by Bob Chester that Ray sadly passed away last month. It is intended to have a matchday programme tribute to him next season with Dave hoping to attend.
RIP Ray and our condolences to Dave.
