Scoring an 89th minute winner in the last game - http://bbc.in/2pR0PPR - was there a pitch invasion, was CE there?

Could comrade powell here the cheers from CE's house?

Thanks.  Yes I was there ( had to drive 200 miles on way home  from a holiday in Anglesey to get there though) and yes there was a pitch invasion (not by us oldies though).

Very subdued party at home - have to think of the neighbours Wink

When we were 11 points adrift in March don't think anyone, myself included, thought the great escape was possible.  A dire performance against Leyton Orient led to Graham Westley's sacking and things totally turned around after that (bit like when we were embarrassed 4-0 by City and then went on a phenomenal run in the Conference South Smile  )

True to form I see in the Football League paper Westley is still claiming credit for the escape!!

Be interesting to see how many of the 7000 plus there on Saturday turn up for the first match next season.

Cheers - yes I hope to be there. Tremendous atmosphere today against a pretty strong Spurs line-up.

As I was returning from Oxford, didn't watch the live tv coverage but made a point of watching Match of the Day for the first time in ages. Apart from Spurs doing the modern thing and saving many players 'for more important matches', I thought it was a glimpse into a bygone age - old fashioned ground and pitch, full house, underdogs giving lofty opponents a real scare and a proper cup atmosphere. The only thing missing was a 3 pm ko!

I assume County will do very well out of a Wembley payday, but what a shame you couldn't be going to the old White Hart Lane for the replay rather than that soulless white elephant of the FA's off the North Circular...

They didn't save that many for more important matches. Vertonghen, Tripper, Dier, Dembele, Sissoko, Wanyama, Llorente and Kane all started. They then had to bring on Song, Dele Ali and Ben White in the second half to try and salvage something from the match. Very Happy

Yes White Hart Lane would have been better. 3 appearances at Wembley in the past 6 years and just all gets a bit "samey" Wink

Cheers. Little old Newport County keeps battling against the odds. Somewhat nerve racking tuning in to commentary from holiday cottage in North Yorkshire - out of it with 4 minutes to go, then equalising and then waiting for the FGR v Exeter score as it went into 6 minutes added on time.

Just the small obstacle of Mansfield over 2 legs before a potential Wembley final. Can but hope!
