Shortwood United friendly
Rhys Lovett, who played in goal for Cheltenham against us on Sat, is due to play against us again tonight as he is on loan to Shortwood.
Let's hope we give him plenty to do this time.

Full time 2-0.
First friendly I've missed in three years. Just couldn't face driving two hours from work in furnace like heat to a ground I've visited a couple of times already.

Didn't go either, for much the same reasons as Mark.
Thought we'd have a few Twitter updates from which I'd cobble something together for the website but no joy there. Currently trying to find a few details.

Paul Williams was there, I'm sure he will forward on a few bits of info. In between cracking opening the Bolinger for this momentous victory.

I thought Owers bagged our second?
(I'll leave that for those who weren't there to ponder...)

I see we wore the yellow kit, previously sported by the side I was on in the supporters game on Sunday.
Sounds like our shooting was more accurate tonight...

Re: Shortwood United friendly
It wasn't a boring game overall. There was much passing of skill that was a pleasure to watch. Before the long awaited goals arrived though, it was obvious that we still have a lot of work to do with teaching the forwards to be more positive. Every forward on the pitch tonight had several chances to put the ball into the net, but chose to make that one pass too many - something that McCootie, in particular, has been doing far too often.
