Chelmsford
The importance of the late turnaround on Monday is that it gives a platform to the squad for the last 6 games and might GO have a full set to pick from for Chelmsford? It was a threadbare bench again on Monday.
Having Frankie back made a big difference last Monday and he is key for me in the last 6.
I also think Matt Taylor is important experience for the back 4.
Watto will give us pace up front.
If Murphy and Kelly are back then we should have a full subs bench.
Feeling a lot more optimistic now! That's quite a change from where I was in the 90th minute on Monday!
Its tight but a win and 2 draws or 2 wins should be enough?

Re: Chelmsford
I think two wins minimum.
Frankie got booked again. Does that add up to 10 or does his sending off discharge the others?

According to the FA website Frankie is suspended for the Eastbourne & Whitehawk games.

Didn't he get 10 yellow cards last season as well? He is in danger of becoming another Lewis Hogg at this rate!

Defence key for me. Taylor back will determine our season.

Re: Chelmsford
Hopefully we will overcome our dislike of Essex in our next two matches. We seem to reserve some of our worst performances for east of the capital - scraping a draw at Harlow this season, and putting on dreadful shows last year at Concord, Chelmsford and East Thurrock.

Think East Thurrock deserves category all on its own.
Mellors long distance effort last year puts Harvey in shade!

Yes! And if we stay up, we could be facing East Thurrock in the league next season....

Re: Chelmsford
Despite the defeat still hanging in there.
On paper Weston look to be well placed now with the upcoming games against Basingstoke.
Between us and Hayes or Margate assuming St. Albans don't rally.
But still unpredictable and tight.
I do fear for us unless we can pick up a results in the next 3 games. Don't really fancy 2 must wins against Hayesand Margate.

Re: Chelmsford
On performances like today's it doesn't look like we will get any wins. On the one hand we were unlucky that we didn't score more. Brilliant save from Harvey had the ball ricocheting off the underside of the bar and post, and only just did a defender get ahead of Pratt to clear the ball over the bar from about a foot off the line. However we were nowhere near as good as them in midfield and up front. They were quicker all round the pitch, more direct and cohesive. After a decent attacking display in the first half from us we were awful after the break.

Yep agree all that Keith. We are pretty up to pen area but then offer little. Desperately need Watkins to offer Pratt some support. Felt Chelmsford bullied us most of game, out muscled us. Also desperately need Taylor to stiffen the back 4 . Harvey form the one good thing at moment.

How many more matches have we got him for? He came on a month's loan some 3 weeks ago - was it extended before the deadline?
