Re: New badge?
I'm very keen to see closer links with schools and colleges BUT the success of the BBCB branding shows the value of using professional designers.
From a comm ownership perspective I'd like to see the city coat of arms incorporated - assert ourselves as part of Bath's DNA

Re: New badge?
Whilst I like the BBCB logo - like the current badge it is simple and effective - I can't say I thought it was produced by professional designers.

Re: New badge?
It was designed by a professional designer who has also done a great job on the upcoming prospectus.

Re: New badge?
I should probably stress that it was done pro bono and to a very tight deadline, but for me there is a huge difference between 'simple and effective' and 'simple' and that comes from a bit of experience - any way this is a bit of a tangent! He says very nice things about your photos btw :-)

As it goes, it would be great, if we were to have a competition, I would love to see the designer of the Bid logo as well as the guy that did our Romans t-shirts put in designs. It doesn't have to be amateurs only.

Re: New badge?
Lewes mentioned last night as an example of a club recently converted to community ownership. Really great creativity at work on their posters, which they offer for sale. See link below.

Their Finance page has the rather splendid Soviet style graphic I uploaded as a temporary avatar.
I note they've stuck with the rather unimaginative badge. Perhaps they feel the 'bold' image is more noticable?

Re: New badge?
Copyright infringement-tastic you would think but there are some brilliant posters there.

Re: New badge?
Some of those are fantastic! Whoever's knocking them out deserves a round of applause.
For what it's worth I don't mind their badge, despite not being particularly enamoured with our "standard" badge, maybe a case of familarity breeds contempt?
