Legends Night
A really enjoyable evening, many thanks to Bob and everyone else who organised it.

Re: Legends Night
Yes, Bob Chester did the club proud with his efforts over many months to make last night such a success. Great to see so many ex players returning to the club - they clearly still have a great affection for it. Just wish I'd asked Sir Richard to confirm something for me....

Re: Legends Night
First time I've been to anything like this and most enjoyable it was too. The place was full and buzzing from the word go.
Now if we could just replicate that in the ground on match days ...........

Re: Legends Night
Bob Chester is as much a legend for the club as the rest of those guys. When people talk about "tireless servants of the club", Bob fits into that category. Indeed, we could do the "He's here, he's there, he's every-expletive-where....." chant about him. Luckily, he isn't on this forum so he won't be embarrassed by the compliments.

Terrific night. Ran very smoothly. felt sorry for the bar staff where there was serious under manning. Well done to the two who turned up as they kept the pints flowing. Unsung heroes indeed.

maybe those involved in the celebration don't read the forum, but it would be nice to have an answer to my question.Eddie Hitler wrote:So was that the 125 celebration?

Re: Legends Night
After all the noises made 12 months ago - remember that special, well attended meeting we were invited to? - I agree it's been very low key. The efforts of Bob Chester have rightly been flagged up, while Shane Morgan did his best last year to get some momentum going. But you need far more than a few individuals to buy into something for it to succeed. Apathy continues to rule at TP...

Re: Legends Night
And I should have mentioned Phil Tanner's recent evening of photographic memories, which deserved a far bigger audience.
