Youi say that every time ! LOL Stop start game with 11 min delay for lino injury. City fans peering into the sun 1st half on a very pleasant day in Hertfordshire. Hemel's current form and manager talking up play off hopes made me think this would be very tricky but in the event apart from an opening spell in 2nd half when they struck the woodwork and looked lively they offered little. Goals change games of course and neither side had clear chances in 1st half though the tireless Pratts rebound of the keeper's dilatory clearance would have bounced in on a softer pitch rather than agonislingly over the bar. In the added 11 mins at the end of the first half Frankie struck a sweet drive beyond the keeper into the net, cue Hemel's protest aboput the lino flag, but the first rule even the Hemel Under 7s playing on the adjacent 3G learn is to play to the whistle.

During the early 2nd half onslaught, even with Hemel down to 10 for a straight red for a strike / kick whatever it was, we could hardly clear our half at times, and looked a Ferriby replica. Eventually we got hold of the ball, the midfield got control and seemed a matter of time before we would break clear and after Stearn had missed a 1 on 1 he made no mistake the 2nd time. Shortly after Pratt brushed off a defender and broke into the pen at an angle and beat the keeper into the corner.

So 3-0 might have flattered us a little but you take your chances play to the whistle and get on with it. Decent 709 crowd who couldnt really get behind their team cos they didnt have much to really shout about. Another good City following and plenty of smiles on and off the pitch this week.
