Means we're home on the 21st regardless as we're meant to play Ebbsfleet that day.

Re: Semi draw v. North Ferriby for City / Dover winner
The winner of tomorrow's replay between Dover Athletic and Bath City have been drawn against North Ferriby United in the semi-final of the FA Trophy, with the side hosting United at Crabble on Saturday 21st February and then travelling to Grange Lane on Saturday 28th February.
From the official Dover site. Seems that if we do win then we've got to play the first leg in Dover.

Well we play better away, so the Crabble will do just fine if we win tomorrow!

I think Yuffie's comment was a bit tongue in cheek Kermit, I think the Dover poster was being a bit presumptuous about the result tomorrow.

I note that, if Dover win tomorrow, they will be the first Conference side that North Ferriby will have faced in this season's trophy. They were drawn to play Braintree or Ebbsfleet in the quarter final, but Braintree lost the replay.

Didn't Gosport get all the way to the final last season without playing a Conf Prem side?

Not quite, but they did get there without scoring (or conceding) against a Conference Premier side. They beat Nuneaton on penalties after two 0-0 draws in the second round. On the other hand, before losing to Gosport in the quarter final, North Ferriby had beaten three Conference Premier sides (Hyde, Woking and Lincoln).Ashley wrote:Didn't Gosport get all the way to the final last season without playing a Conf Prem side?

I quite hope we win tomorrow now as it will mean a return to my old Uni stomping ground of Hull - Ferriby is about 12 miles away. I watched them twice whilst up there, once at their home ground and once at Wembley in the Vase final.

Re: Semi draw v. North Ferriby for City / Dover winner
To continue the theme of the number of Conference clubs encountered by each of the quarter finalists this season. Bath City, FC Halifax Town and Wrexham are all playing their third Conference club in the quarter final. Whereas Ebbsfleet had already played three Conference clubs before reaching their quarter final with North Ferriby. By contrast, both North Ferriby and Torquay have yet to play a Conference club, and Torquay were the first Conference club that FC United had played. Also, Dover have only played one Conference club so far.
So, to summarise, for each of the six clubs still in the Trophy, the following is the list of Conference clubs they will have had to beat to get to the final:
Halifax - 4 (Alfreton, Dartford, Wrexham and Torquay)
Wrexham - 4 (Southport, Gateshead, Halifax and Torquay)
Bath City - 3 (Bristol Rovers, Altrincham and Dover)
Torquay - 1 (Halifax or Wrexham)
Dover - 1 (Woking)
North Ferriby - 0 or 1 (Dover)
All of which means ...
Absolutely nothing!

Re: Semi draw v. North Ferriby for City / Dover winner
Well if we are honest I think that is the draw we would all have wanted (and so did the North Ferriby manager by the sound of it) - now just to beat Dover in the replay...
Those like me who are old enough to remember the 1966 World Cup win might recall what Alf Ramsey said to the England players before extra time after the late German equaliser "you have won it once, go out and win it again". I think that would be a good message for Lee & Adie to give the team tomorrow evening, not that they should really need much motivating.

We played North Ferriby at Whaddon last month. They brought ZERO paying supporters.
Their ground is awful too.

Although there is a railway line behind the main stand and you can see the Humber Bridge from it.
They are a team of thugs too.
