@9am tomorrow.

I can't help thinking, with Altrincham in mind, it would hardly be the worse thing for the game to be off. Apparently their pitch is in a poor state and the last thing we need is a few injuries ahead of Saturday,

I agree, especially as Alty don't have a midweek game.
And while I can see the reasoning behind the rule that postponed fixtures must be rescheduled within 6 weeks, midweek football at this level in the middle of winter is not sensible. Pitches need longer to recover, as do part time players.

I'd be a bit annoyed as I've booked two days off, but I'm not too hopeful of it being on.

I agree that it is silly having to organise these games so soon. We can play them in April, days after the celebrations die down from that glorious day in Wembley...

They are probably trying to avoid situations like when Coventry had three games left over at the end of the season and were rock bottom of the division. they won all three including 4-1 against Everton, who had won the FA cup the week before, to stay up.

Well fingers crossed for you. I had thought of going, even looking at hotels in Brighton for an overnight stay but thought it too big a risk. Same with Eastbourne next Saturday- will only go if there's a large coach, in the hope it won't leave TP before the result of any pitch inspection.

Oh well, whole day to work on the programme from home. Rather know now that when we are on the way.

No doubt Stearn and McCootie will rue the lost opportunity for a start.
