That is comedy defending of the highest order. And love the insightful commentary.

Fantastic support throughout from the City Fans. Outsung Wealdstone fans for most of the game. Did anyone say to the Raider "you got no fans"?

A few swear boxes around the ground could raise some serious money for the Stones!

Skyblue, any chance of showing the incident involving Jason at the end, as it looked pretty innocent from where I was. Quite understand if you don't want to.

I am not surprised. He sounded like the sort who would think everyone around him needed to hear his thoughts constantly.

The pace on Frankie's shot was incredible. Hard to keep up with it. Great header from Walshy

I was right in line with Frankie Artus' shot behind the goal and, at the time, he just seemed to side foot it into the corner from the edge of the box. A great finish.

Must admit it doesn't look overly clever.

Can't see the footage at the moment due to computer churning out DVD's for Bas & Adie. Did look at it last night and can see both sides, keepers often lead with a foot for protection and as Jase is having treatment for a bad back after being clattered a few weeks ago, I assume self preservation kicked in.

Ha ha yes, he's taken over Bally's mantle of being the most hated man in Wealdstone.

It was so quick, as I was following the ball out, Frankie was hammering it back. Thought I'd missed it completely.pete mac wrote:The pace on Frankie's shot was incredible. Hard to keep up with it. Great header from Walshy

What was strange was I think we were awarded a free kick. However, the way their bloke looked at the ref, collapsed, then immediately got up suggests that he was not pole axed in quite the way being suggested by his fans.

I've just realised that Dan Bowman puts in some decent crosses from the same side as the dugout. Puts paid to my theory he plays better on the opposite side.

Re: Wealdstone Goals
when i saw it at the game i thought Mellor was lucky not to get booked.
after seeing the video of the challenge i think he was lucky not to see a red card.

Yes, just had a look at it. I think that the player did him a favour by not going down straight away.

There are a number of reasons for not putting the opposition goals up - I film games for my & other's enjoyment, I don't get paid to do it and I don't consider watching goals conceded as enjoyment. Rightly or wrongly and until directed to do so by the club management & the majority of the forum members, I don't plan on changing this.
I would like to think that my role is to add enjoyment/encouragement to all involved with Bath City, if I had put all the Thurrock goals up, it would show seven (or more) hideous defensive errors & further depress me & the travelling faithful that went to that game. I feel I would then have to even things up by showing the howlers at the other end when we have failed to score on numerous occasions.
The management get a full copy of the match afterwards & can therefore review and discuss it with the players, I don't feel that airing dirty laundry & showing our frailties in public is in the best interests of the club. I am happy to be criticised for this stance but I also have a day job and cutting & editing video (for me) is a very time consuming process and also the more of the game I publish online, the less likely Bas & Mark are, to sell DVDs.
As a final note, most opposition teams have someone filming the games, so goals conceded are usually found online therefore saving me time & effort editing hours of video.
