Re: Maidenhead Goals
That first goal is real Sunday morning stuff. Why on earth their keeper hasn't claimed the rebound, or why the defender (who appears to have played Watkins onside) didn't clear it before the first bounce I shall never know.
But I didn't realise someone was closing in on him as quickly. Just annoying the microphone died trying to announce it.

Re: Maidenhead Goals
Always interesting to see the goals again. The second goal was a great passing move and contrary to the report it was Kington's perfect pass to set up Pratty for the 4th. It was Hemmings tackle that started the move though.
Also is there two more contrasting goal reactions than Pratt and Stearn. The former almost looks embarrassed he has scored!

Great videos Steve and Photos from Simon. I have used both for my match report, hope that's ok!

That second goal is just sublime. If it were Barcelona, it would be all over the place by now. I didn't realise that Pratt did a great little stepover.
Really pleased for Hemmings. I was one of his biggest critics a month ago but it is great to see him in a role that obviously suits him so well. I was impressed when he initially moved back into midfield albeit a little more advanced as well. Here's hoping he progresses even more. It would be great if, with more confidence, he was able to bring his striking abilities on and become a good utility player as well. We need them.

You're very generous to Maidenhead there, Mark. I wasn't impressed by Campbell and was particularly taken aback by the, how can I put it, stature of some of the players.

Re: Maidenhead Goals
Glad to see someone reads my reports ;-)
No Campbell was off the pace but there was a glimpse of danger about him, need to get back to match fitness. Really impressed with Green and Torpey and some of their approach play at times. We could have conceded in the first half!
I do think they were trying to play it in the right way but some of the skill levels of the players, particularly some in the middle and at the back, wasn't up to the standard that the management would have wanted.
They are the one of the only 'London based' sides that we've played without a hulking great team of 6 foots plus players!

number 6 and 4 were two of the more dirty players who I would have taken out of that team! I'm sure their management kinda need them but would prefer a ball playing centre back or just simply a better quality of holder midfielder!

Didn't think I did but having searched the footage I found it. Bit of pushing and shoving but not a red card.

Pratts reaction might be to do with scoring v his former club.

Re: Maidenhead Goals
Yep I remember last year he didn't really celebrate when he scored in the home game with Maidenhead.
He really does score any type of goal. The tap-ins, the spectacular long-range strikes and one-on-one finishes. I'm amazed (relieved) a club at a higher level hasn't tried to snap him up.
