Re: Rovers Goals
So, the first goal was clearly an OG. Guess I've have to update the website as such.
And shouldn't the Rovers defender have been at least booked for leading with his elbow on Artus.

Re: Rovers Goals
Absolutely. Reports say Artus was left with 'a simple header'. I call that a 'brave header'

These mistakes are occuring far too frequently. At least it didn't affect the 1st goal compo this time....

Aww, what about capturing the fans' most exuberant mosh pit celebrations in many a year, Skyblue?

Re: Rovers Goals
Since Artus was clobbered well after heading the goal one wonders what decision the referee would have made if he had failed to score.
Presumably the correct decision would have been a penalty and perhaps a red card for dangerous play or whatever the term is these days.
Could well be that the Rovers are glad he scored as the overall outcome could have been worse.

Re: Rovers Goals
great to hear that electric, euphoric cheer for the goals - the type that can only come from a 200+ following. It's fair to say it was absolute mayhem on the terrace. Literally couldn't breathe after the minute long mosh

I have to laugh at how Kington takes about three seconds to see if Artus is alright, then dashes off like Stillman at Cambridge United.

Re: Rovers Goals
Good videos of the goals, thanks.
The header by Artus was brave, as I guess he must have seen the defender coming. So well done Frankie, played it like an old fashioned centre forward. The ref must have watched the ball and / or not seen the defender leading with his arm or he would have surely got out at least a yellow card.
