Congratulations! A rout...
There will be dancing in the streets of Corringham right now.
Good luck in the next round.

Jeez, I feel for you guys. Badly let down by your players who just seemed to surrender with no fight. Hope your club sorts itself out before it's too late. Great bunch of supporters, you deserve so much better than what we saw today.

Something which should be read and digested by those who run our club...

So, Rocky and Rockhammer, Hartlepool away. A marathon trip for you, but if you play like you did on Saturday, I fancy your chances. Similar tie to when we went to Grimsby a few years ago - they were down at the bottom of the league but stupidly under-estimated us. It took them about an hour to realise they were in a match and by then were 2 down. Good luck!

Will be a great day out for us. We are all really looking forward to it, supporters and players.
And I get to meet one of my favourite football characters, NO not that Stelling geezer, but H'Angus the Monkey.
All the best for the rest of the season, without wishing to sound patronising, you are a great bunch of fans, a credit to your club and city.

Re: Rocks Fan in peace.
Have a great day, Rocky. I wasn't there for the celebrations at the end but beforehand your fans could have really rubbed our faces in it for our appalling performance. The fact that you didn't, and the way your team carried on in a professional manner, is something I'll remember. And your manager came across really well on the video.
I really think you could cause an upset with those two up front. Go there and enjoy it, it won't be every season you'll play at a League club.
All you need now is to convince some of those in the pub to come along. I was pretty appalled to see that it was showing a Premier League game at 3pm whilst you were playing next door. No wonder you weren't expecting a huge crowd. A couple of people seemed to be oblivious that your lot were producing arguably the best result in your club's history. A shame.

Yes, hope you enjoy the day/ weekend Rocks.
Not a great draw but I for one would've looked forward to another northern away stay to a proper old ground, cracking boozers and - as Paul1978 WSP would I'm sure point out - some great industry.. 'Ship breaking' it would appear:

Hartlepool 2 East Thurrock 0
“They (East Thurrock) had the better chance when they hit the post – I think Scott saved it so it was a great save but it was quite sloppy from ourselves.
I asked the lads to try and score in the first twenty minutes and we had a couple of opportunities really but we had to keep plugging away and we got the goal in the end.
Their Manager came in and he’s been brilliant after the game; he thanked us for our hospitality and I am sure they will go and enjoy themselves.”

So the dream ends but congratulations on your run.
