Rocky I reckon that's quite a hopeful prediction!!!!

Is it a footballing hotbed? This is a pretty big game, I know you got to the First Round a couple of years ago so the locals might come out.

That's not meant to be patronising either. Genuinely hope there's a decent number there. Hope for an away win more though...

Problem we have here in south Essex is that there are a vast number of Ryman and Conference level clubs all competing for supporters, then there are loads of Wet Spammers, Gooners, Spuds etc. On top of that many blokes nowadays get their footie fix sat on their fat arses watching hooky tv in the boozer. .......

Having said that, we have established ourselves as the only senior non league club representing the ever growing area around Corringham, Stanford le Hope and most of the locals follow our fortunes without actually turning up at games.

They do come out for more important games however.  Over 1200 turned up for the Macclesfield First Round tie three years back, (with less than 100 coming down from the north).

Last season our average gate was 199, with the highest being 349 for the key end of season game against Bognor Regis Town.

Old Rockshammer aint a bad old boy, but I still feel he is being more than a trifle conservative in his estimates.

By the way, for those of you who like to get hold of a programme, I suggest that you pick one up from the gate earlier rather than leave it till near kick off time as they do sell out pretty rapid.

I would expect you to at least double if not triple your average gate, we are a BIG club...

How much is admission on Saturday? And what are the concession prices as we have quite a few elderly supporters (myself not included in that group!)

Can't promise but we always warmly welcome opposition players and fans to this lovely little part of Essex!!!

I have pre warned the Guvnor of The Bull to expect you all pre match. .... I also told him what a nice bunch of people you are.

Good luck in the FA Cup tomorrow - would be great to see City in the first round draw Monday - and who knows maybe a relatively local tie against a League 2 club in the first round.

My guess on the "unofficial guess the gate competition"  is 558  but hope that doesn't cause any problems like at Shortwood where I queued for 20 minutes to get a hot drink and gave up because the second-half had started and the queue had not gone down.
