I think HW-R might be a possible although probably looking for higher level. I thought Idehen looked ok  but manager is better judge of a  player than I think I am!!

I'd have HW-R but none of the others.

Actually if Dyer doesn't sign and Morgan goes I would have Idahen.

I thought Idehen looked decent the two games I saw him.

I’d think there’s absolutely no chance of Morgan being here. He’s up for transfer having spent the season at a relegated club.

Presumbly he has been told to find another club if he can. But what happens if he doesn't? Would he still get wages?

I guess he’d be loaned out somewhere again. Hopefully Havant paid at least part of his wages last season.

We sign a player, immediately loan him out for the season. He comes back and nobody wants him back.
It doesn't sound like a good bit of business.
Can someone enlighten me what the problem is with him?

Maybe he wasn't fit enough in the end or it just didn't work out, these things happen sometimes in all workplaces I guess.

He started the first couple of games when Dyer was suspended but was injured in the Weston debacle and never really got his place back (not helped by having a couple of weeks off when his partner had a baby).

I assume Jerry must have seen something in him to give him a two year contract but clearly it didn't work out which hasn't happened too often.

I suspect that the experiment with four CBs has proved not ideal. We could actually do with cover at FB. So assuming he is 4th in the pecking order he would logically be sacrificed.

Match winning performance from little Liam Kelly in the League 2 playoff final at Wembley - he’s had a great season.

Hopefully this might kickstart his career. He looked real class during his loan spell here and when at Reading he seemed destined for great things. For some reason his career nosedived.

I think Peter is trying to say that Dan Hayfield and Jordan Dyer have both signed for Torquay!

I can certainly see why they signed Dyer.

I assume prospect of full-time football/ higher pay and that both are Devon based made it a likely outcome. Also the fact we had signed another central defender indicated that Dyer was probably on his way. On paper it simply looks as one in/one out and no negative impact and possibly a positive one.

Having seen most games over the last couple of seasons have thought midfield area was an area we needed to improve on and thought Hayfield was ok but not someone capable of changing us from a side flirting with the lower play-offs to one looking for a more challenging position.

Perhaps if they going full-time it might make both players better than they were as part-time in which case Torquay will benefit.
