Haha! Ironically there hasn't been an out and out front runner for the Player of the Season this time round. Parselle and Russe were nailed on in the past two seasons, but this time it's not so straightforward, although I've gone for Will Henry who's been consistently very good.
Interesting reading the above comments - we've got a particularly solid squad now, with a strong bench even without a couple of injured first teamers. We also have a few very promising players coming through from the Academy. In an ideal world I'd stick with what we've got but am realistic enough to realise that's not going to happen, particularly with our young centre back Ellison who is being tracked by numerous clubs (Sheff Wed., Brentford & Reading to name a few). If he's still with us come August I'll be very surprised.
Anyway, good luck in the play-offs should you land there. Wouldn't have a problem with a National League club nearby as an option for other games to watch.
p.s. Eddie Jones has been excellent for us - horses for courses and all that?

Re: Your retain list
So Ellison will be at TP come August!
Interesting to hear about your Academy players - have any become regulars this season?
You're having a great end to the season - with better home form you'd be in the playoffs pack. According to their forum some Chelmsford fans are very wary about their last game should a lot be riding on it.
See you at Christmas/New Year!

Re: Your retain list
The thing about smaller squads is that it can be done with players that don't suffer injuries a lot. Parcelle is obviously a prime candidate here as he takes some right whacks but still turns out most weeks.
Hopefully Russe will come back strong but often players become brittle after long term injuries.
Greenslade and Raynes are both liable to leave us depleted at some stage of the season and we don't really have cover for either.
We started the season with four centre backs which seemed imbalanced and in hindsight was. Ideally you need utility players especially on the bench that can cover a few positions.

Ellison came through from the Academy (he's still only 18 I believe, but now on a contract), as did Bradbury who is a regular starter. A lad called Pele, believe it or not, came on and scored the winner for us at Taunton the other week, and there are numerous gifted lads currently out on loan I believe.
Home games, with a few exceptions, haven't been an easy watch to be honest but when all's said and done we've had another very good season. One above the dotted line is all I ever hope for at the start of every season given the size of our club - most of our more realistic supporters, if they're honest, share that view as well.

Well done Chippenham. Defied the odds again. You recovered well after we poach your best players. Is Jones right back or left back. Raynes and Greenslade are much better than him

Jones is right back. Greenslade is very good, you're right. We just couldn't get him on the pitch enough.
