Braintree thread
Always a tricky place to go, not least because of the distance for the team from Bath and Devon ! Had some decent results over the years but not so much recently with conceding a late winner last time. They will be on a high winning 3-2 in the Cup last week after being 2 down, and with a home tie against lower league opposition in the 4thQ.
Yet we are unbeaten away from home, play an attractive attacking style and will be confident.

I second your final sentence. There is a spirit in the camp which gives a degree of confidence in any game. We also have a bit of strength in depth. Lines hasn't even started a game yet.

Re: Braintree thread
After an even 1st half City began to take control and a great team goal finished by Scotty Wilson was a just reward. As last year Braintree seem to be galvanised when behind as they upped the tempo and intensity. But we saw it off with defence midfield and forwards putting in a shift until yet another long throw causes confusion and landed for Blair to hammer home from the edge of the area.
A point at Braintree to be savoured, we're still scoring and unbeaten away. Bring on Worthing.

Although very disappointing to concede so late I thought a draw was fair on the balance of play. Despite their modest record so far, Braintree looked a better side than Weymouth last week and we found it difficult to put their defence under real pressure. But a very good finish from Wilson for our goal following a fine move.
