Braintree pub.
The Orange Tree over the road from the ground has been our rendezvous previously.

Gerry, is it any good?
I was thinking of the Eagle, not in the GBG, but local CAMRA branch recommended.

Re: Braintree pub.
Fair enough.
Depending on timings, I may go there, but it's offering the usual Greene King fare, and the Eagle looks a better bet.
Also, to avoid the awful roundabout on the A120 via the "direct route", I may be able to suggest a better route which happens to go past the Eagle.
It's only a 5 minute hobble on crutches from there to the ground......hopefully better than my Hendon suggestion!

Re: Braintree pub.
Not the best destination in this league for local pubs was it? At least the Orange Tree had food on.
