Another former City player sadly passed away last week. From the website archive...

Half-back Ray was one of ten former Welton Rovers players signed by the West Clewes ex-manager Arnold Rogers during the 1967 close season. After two seasons at Twerton Park he joined Merthyr Tydfil in May 1969.

I remember Ray arriving from Welton and like most of his former Welton colleagues coping very well with the step up in levels.

His funeral will be on Thursday 5th October at Weston-super-Mare Crematorium, 1.30pm and all are welcome.
