Re: Slough away in Cup
Meh. At least my guess of Hayes and Yeading will get a good score in the competition.
Edit - But not as well as Kermit!

We had our good fortune in the previous draw but this is probably one of the toughest ties we could have had. We are the second NSL opponents for Slough following their surprise win at Dartford.

Clubs often put up their prices when they draw attractive opponents...

In cup games clubs will share the live streaming money.
I'm pretty certain that Slough will not increase the live streaming cost for league games.

Thanks RR. We have a score to settle after what happened at Arbour Park last August! We had pretty similar seasons there after so it could be another very close match.

Our games against each other are normally exciting, feisty affairs so hopefully this will be no different.

First half stream wasn't great but second half they sorted it out and it was good.
They've been doing trial runs to get it right so hopefully it's ok on Tuesday.

Do you know if that's shared between the two clubs?

Conway needed treatment on Saturday so presumably is not fit.

Phew. Done it. Sounds like the lads put in a shift to get that result.

Re: Slough away in Cup
Some solid performances tonight.
As for streaming Bath need to ask the streaming service people what they did differently for this match. It was perfect for me (and others I believe) so seeing Slough had similar issues to Bath previous to this game.... all the browser type comments etc. are red herrings.

It may have been the streaming service couldn't cope with different browser platforms but have now sorted it.

Professional performance from City and a real team builder. Every player did their bit. Tomlinson looked good.

Excellent result. Seems strange to be having a pint during the game instead of afterwards!

£5.6k prize money added to the £3.3k from the previous round. Minimum 3k next round with £9k to the winners.

Re: Slough away in Cup
Without doubt the eeriest of the BCD games I've been to so far, perhaps because Michael and I were on one side of the ground occupied by only two or three others.
Good performance and I expect another close game there in a few weeks, perhaps with both sides having more players available.
Only criticism was our decision making in the last few minutes. Timewasting is a horrible thing to watch when you're losing and massively frustrating. While I don't expect us to hold the ball in the corner for five minutes, I'd prefer us to kill a bit more time than putting crosses into the box with no-one there to turn them in. It wasn't like Saturday when the Billericay defence basically gave up and let us walk in a second. I could hear the bench shouting over to keep the ball in the corners, just needed their defender of keeper to collect, whack it 80 yards and hope for a bit of luck.
Unless our forwards just had every faith that our defence would deal with it anyway. The back four were immense, hard to believe Batten and Ball effectively missed a season each before they came back in. Someone like Dan Ball could have sulked at hardly getting a look-in having recovered from injury but instead he stayed patient and bar SPC has started every game this year I believe. Batten is the same player he was pre-injury and Leak had his best game so far.
