Not there but let's have some views on that performance.

Re: City 5 Slough 1
The score flattered City; Slough hit the post twice and had at least another two goal attempts cleared off the line.
City defence was awesome; my men of the match.
Cooke and Fletcher look threatening every time they have the ball and their movement is like they have telepathy. Cooke wins so much in the air and Fletcher has grown in every way since I last saw him a few seasons ago.
Tom Smith looks like he needs a confidence boost and hopefully the goal will help.
Midfield works well and the height improvement shows what City have missed in previous seasons.
Young Zac Bell almost scored and the rebound off the keeper set up Fletch for the 5th.
VERY entertaining afternoon and the shirt change for Slough early on was something I can't recall seeing before; why did the officials not realise before the start of play?

Agree with all of BN’s observations. A very entertaining match with Slough making a full contribution. Their problem was poor retention of the ball and we were quite ruthless. Strangely North had little to do except pick the ball out of the net. He was rightly furious with some of the errors made in front of him.
Yes, very odd concerning Slough’s kit. It was clear straight away that it would clash with ours. Maybe they thought their usual stripes would create a problem. Or maybe a decision based on raising awareness and revenue!

Certainly made up for March where 5-1 would have flattered them.
To win by that scoreline when we weren’t at our best is massively encouraging. Saturday will be a step up in opposition but we couldn’t have wished for a better run of form to head there with.
I was probably a bit disrespectful saying the MOTM was obvious choice because someone scoring a hat-trick will get it but plenty of others were contenders really.

It seemed everyone in the ground realised there would be a problem apart from the ref.
Slough looked a very tidy team but we are very effective going forward and punished them virtually every time we got in the box.

For me Scott Wilson needs a special mention. Instrumental with first half goals and then made a vital tackle in our penalty area on the stroke of half-time when our defenders were dithering.
With utility prices going through the roof I hope Slough make a contribution to our extra laundry costs due to their decision to wear clashing kit!

And another special mention for Lines’ incredible clearance off the line early in second half. Possibly the turning point of the match.

I think there appeared to be a number of turning points during the game which we ensured went our way Our 3rd goal was the most significant as up to then the result was in the balance,

I thought it was Parcelle cleared off the line.
Presumably Joe Raynes will be paying his yellow card fine for him. I bet he thanked him for that after the game.
Mind I thought Joe's yellow was somewhat harsh.

Wonderful afternoons entertainment. 1400 there and credit to all at the Club that make it possible.
We were not fluent at all today but won it by being clinical in the break.
Quite an afternoon to be at Twerton Park

He did as well, but that was in the first half.

I had a couple of Glaswegian groundhopper pals down, and they flipping loved it. They reckon they'll definitely be back again. I told them it's not like that every week, but I think we've got them hooked!
