Now that England are out....
The WC should become even more enjoyable! After the 2nd round of groups games are completed today, the final matches in each group are played at the same time. As far as watching on TV, most of the choices are no brainers as there are some intriguing games in store. I'm going for...
Monday - Neth/chile (should be a corker) + Croatia/Mex (wouldn't it be funny if they drew and Brasil managed to lose to Cameroon)
Tuesday - Italy/uru ( promises to be spicy) + Colombia/Jap (simply because I never want to see Greece again)
Wednesday - Arg/Nig (should see a few goals) + Ecuador/France ( top place presumably avoids Arg while Ecuador will probably need to win to qualify)
Thursday - will depend if I can find a screen at Glastonbury!

They'll be wanting to top the group to avoid a potential clash with Brazil. Which would be funny if Brazil end up second in theirs.

Yes no one wants to play Brazil and the ref.

It could work out that Brazil will play Chile and Colombia, which would be two classics.
The 9pm simultaneous games have had plenty of drama thus far, long may it continue. Just hope that the Suarez incident doesn't overshadow what has been the best World Cup I've seen by a long way.

There has been a refreshing change in intent from all the teams competing at this WC. As I expected though it is the Central and South American teams who will dominate the later stages. Many of the European teams have looked weary.
I will be rooting for Holland as usual. They let me down big time last time with their approach to the final but generally they are good value. I could never root for either France or Germany.
