Dave Mann - sad news.
I have just been informed that Dave Mann sadly passed away yesterday after a long battle with illness. Despite poor health he was a regular at home matches until very recently and travelled away on the SC coach for many years.
As well as being a member of our committee for some years he would always help the Club when he could. I clearly remember seeing an unfamiliar physio running on to the pitch at Kettering many years ago to help one of our injured players off and only learnt this week that it was Dave stepping in because the regular chap wasn't available.
The fact that Dave was truly a lifelong fan is proved by two photos of him as a child as club mascot in Phil Tanner's book on Charlie Fleming. The first in a team photo and the second at the coin toss before the Brighton match in front of our record attendance.
The Club has lost a great supporter. RIP Dave.
