We beat Farnborough 7-2. I did a little reminder of it if you'd like to have a listen.
I'll try and do one each Saturday to fill the void slightly.

Yes, I remember that one. I think Farnborough went into administration shortly after?

We move a year later with this one. There will also be a feature about it in the Chron/online.

Wonderful memory and great to hear from the people involved especially Q. Ashamed to say I had given it up when they scored at 90 but the team never stopped and what a winner. We may need to run the top 100goals again some time. Tyler’s will be up there

I interviewed Q two and a bit years ago for another feature and was glad it tied in with this.
I also had some quotes from Jim which I've put in the printed article instead. Felt there would be too many voices otherwise.
A lot of goals from this season would feature in the top 100. I nearly fell off my chair for Smith's at Eastbourne.

Slightly different this week but just as enjoyable. Peter and Scott Rogers chatted to me about their times at the club.

Re: On this day in 2015
Thanks Junior - two great interviews there! Peter is a real character and at the evening organised to celebrate the anniversary of the 78 title win he had those of us sitting on his table in stitches. He was definitely one of the quickest players I've seen at Twerton but anyone who says Sir Richard was just 22 yards out was clearly not there!
I must admit I used to give Scott some stick on the old forum and when we played at Newport in a match when he was not playing he came up to me in that concourse under the stand at Spytty. I feared he was going to have a go at me but all he wanted was a chat about City. As they always said, he was great with the fans.
Who's next - Partridge?

Re: On this day in 2015
Scott scored some wonderful goals for us but is still culpable of arguably the worst miss I’ve ever seen - spooning over from six years v Wealdstone with the goal gaping. I decided against mentioning it!
He said he’s still in touch with the old players and despite being at the club for ‘only’ three years it clearly meant a lot.
Peter also spoke a bit about the late Jimmy Jenkins but unfortunately the audio didn’t come out too well. Said he was one of the nicest people he met.
I’ll leave you in suspense for the next one, but it’d be great to get hold of Scott Partridge in the future. I’ll try and track him down.

Re: On this day in 2015
Great stuff again! My main memory of that season is that I missed the first half as we were abroad. My first game on returning was the replay at Bish - I only discovered afterwards that it was the second replay and that they'd played the first a few days earlier. Also the Friday evening match at Enfield when the home team were supported by loads of Wealdstone fans - they won the title the next day when we lost to Runcorn.

https://soundcloud.com/bath-city-internet-radio/from-the-archives-paul-bodin This is the latest one. I'll do a couple more I expect.
Thanks to Q and Mike Davis for their contribution. Mike is a full-time gardener in Malmesbury, hence the addition of background noise!

Yes, well worth a listen with some fascinating insights. And thanks to Q for reminding us of the Boston 8-0 and blizzard matches!

The penultimate one in the series. As next season would have ended next week regardless, I'll call time for now. Might bring out a few more in the summer.
Great to chat to some former players. Adie Harris is now a boxer and works as a psychiatric nurse. Gethin packed it in a couple of years ago.

Thanks Junior for another great listen! I laughed at what Jim recalled about the forum following that Hemel match.

Yes, they've been very entertaining - I liked the footnote at the end about Rello holding up five fingers.
Thank you Junior - hopefully you'll do some more before too long... the Cup win at Grimsby, the Trophy game v Rovers and interviewing Paul Bastock about his matches at Twerton (!), those Slough defenders who tried to stop Mings, Scotty Partridge at Dover...

Watched the highlights of the play off final yesterday and still had my heart in my mouth despite obviously knowing the outcome!

Yes I watched them too and first thing that struck me was what a good side it was. I had forgotten that because of the dire football we eventually got.
It reminded me that we played some great football in that first season in the conf prem.
Jerry is someone who sticks to his principles but I wonder whether anyone can in the cut throat world of football management.
