Stuart Taylor
I see that former Bristol Rovers legend and City manager from the early 80s Stuart Taylor has sadly passed away at the age of 72. RIP Stuart.

Re: Stuart Taylor
This is really sad news. He was manager here for nearly two seasons, taking over from Bob Boyd and was replaced by Bobby Jones. His first season was the best, finishing 6th in the APL in 80/81.
He brought some of well known players of that era to the club, including Keith Brown and Dave Singleton while Graham Withey was possibly at his peak when playing for him. However Martyn Wheeler and Jimmy Jenkins, both of the 78 title winning team, left after falling out with the manager (according to the Club website's archive).
I first saw him several years before at a packed out Eastville when Rovers hosted Arsenal in the Cup. And the last time was when we had a reserve fixture at a club near Bristol (Hanham?) and he was the groundsman.
RIP Stuart
