Rigg, Hinds and Mann start. Brunt and Watkins on bench.
City remain in 6th, put it to bed earlier lads eh?

Great to get back to winning ways this afternoon against a useful Slough team. What a winner from Morton!

And Hinds' goal was well taken - you don't often see the keeper being rounded these days.

It was a funny game as we were never on top but we created a number of good scoring opportunities that we didn't take and there was always a chance that Slough would nick one.
We never looked comfortable defensively but after the early efforts from their number 9 we somehow restricted their opportunities.
Brunt had a very good cameo as he has the last few times he has come on and I thought Ryan Clark deserved MOM. He is really a very safe pair of hands.

Have to agree with Tovid with all of that. Wasn't the most convincing of performances but ew deserved the win - even at 2-0. That's absolutely fine, a team can't be excellent all the team - indeed, some of our best moves ended up fruitless - but a win is a win is a win, especially after 3 games without.

Arrived a bit late to this and first 20 mins I saw pretty even - remainder of half then summed up by well taken goal from Hinds rounding keeper to finish, clear cut penalty turned down and Slough keeper making first of a few point blank stops - overall was glad half time came. Second half very flat in main - comment on Slough keeper as being worst distributor of ball I've seen but one of best close range shot stoppers, one in particular in second half where ball was crossed into 6 yard box from defensive error. We were seeing game out in final 15 minutes and reasonably comfortably but nonetheless pleased to see added time being displayed as a final 4 minutes to see out. First of additional time with Slough pressing and then break culminating in great chip over keeper by Morton and game over as a contest. Enjoyed atmosphere, reasonable number of Slough supporters contributed to that, as well as 10 min rendition in pop side for most of final minutes of match. Charlies afterwards bit quieter than normal, presumably due to rugby, but usual great interview from Gerry highlighting how much players enjoying it at moment. Good win and now onto next week.
