I've learnt that one of our former directors has passed away. While I remember John Newth's name, I couldn't recall when he was on the board. However I'm informed that this was probably back in the 1980s and early 90s. Apparently he was also closely involved with Timsbury Cricket Club and was their president for many years.

The funeral took place today and the club was represented by John Reynolds.

John Newth used to take the players and management out for a meal at the end of each season. He did this for many years.
