What a game! ... H&R looked a tidy unit in the first half and showed glimpses in the second, but City had an answer for everything they did or tried to do . Top notch performances all across the park, and special mention of that superb 'Gordon Banks-like' save from Luke S too.
Funnily enough, I didn't think we knocked it about today as well as we have over the last few weeks. But it's so good to get the rub of the green for a change. I love this league, you just can't read it at all. Anything could happen! ... Well done lads !

Well said, Joe. I thought several players really stepped up to the mark today after disappointing performances at Oxford and Weston. While Frankie probably deserved MoM, Southwood was quite superb and I thought Jack Batten with his no nonsense approach deserves much praise. And that was probably Stearn's best game since returning - good news that his loan has been extended.

Agree about Batten, he stood up to them physically. Pity his distribution often lets him down at times. Also I thought Morton did well in the circumstances, only 18 but he did not allow them to intimidate him.

Thought we did really well today and that every player contributed - would have been tempted to have given Luke Southwood mom on the strength of that double save in the first half and the way he dealt with the one-on-one early in the second half. If Hampton had scored from either it would have been a very different game. Having said that, Frankie deserved it for his 90 minutes of battling.
Hopefully we can carry today’s level of performance into next week at Braintree - we haven’t won 2 games in a row since we beat East Thurrock and Eastbourne back in November.

That was also the last time we named unchanged teams in the league for consecutive matches. Hopefully we can do this for next week and it'll have the same outcome...

You wouldn't give Antoine Semenyo a start ahead of Jarvis? I am all for consistency and continuity and, of course, Nat drew the penalty but I think that Semenyo showed a lot in his 15 minutes and I would like to see him starting.
