Afternoon all.

In this momentous week for the club I thought I'd introduce another little feel good factor on a Friday afternoon - August's Moment of the Month competition!

Three really well taken goals. I only witnessed one Naby's against thurrock but I vote for his first against Stortford because it was important and his first for some time so he needed a cool head

Ah yes, one person one vote. This reminds me of when we beat Brockenhurst in the Cup and Scott Partridge scored a hat-trick. We could vote for 'player of the round', who would be a guest at the final. On one afternoon, Scotty had about 5% of votes and a Rushden player was on about 70%. Suddenly Scott's votes went up: 10%, then 20, then 30,and within about 20 minutes he was up to over 90% and was player of the round. Afterwards, the FA changed the system so that only one vote could be made from one computer. There were rumours that a City supporter who lived next door to the A37, had set up an automatic system to put in multiple votes. It was one of the funniest 20 minutes in my life
